Visiting Artist: Aaron Christensen

Aaron is a world renown blogger and writer for HorrorHound Magazine who’s life’s passion for enjoying horror film has led him into a full-time career in the industry.  He spoke passionately about following your dreams.  As someone who loves horror films, the idea of watching them as a career is something most of us wouldn’t think about, but his message was one of true hope and inspiration that, no matter what it is that you love, if you follow your heart’s path to its end, your dreams (no matter how strange) are surely attainable.

Artist Bio

Aaron Christensen (aka “Dr. AC”) is a Chicago-based actor/writer. In addition to serving on the writing staff of HorrorHound Magazine, he is the editor of the critically acclaimed film guidebooks, HORROR 101: The A-List of Horror Films and Monster Movies and HIDDEN HORROR: A Celebration of 101 Underrated and Overlooked Fright Flicks, available on Amazon and wherever tomes of ill repute are sold.

One of the Midwest’s rising enthusiasts of horror films/monster movies, Aaron has born witness to over 3000 fright flick titles (and counting), scouring the mainstream, foreign markets, and fringe indies for that next big thrill. As a member of the Windy City’s theatre community since 1990, Aaron has trod such illustrious boards as the Goodman Theatre, Steppenwolf, Chicago Shakespeare, Remy Bumppo, and is a founding member of WildClaw Theatre, Chicago’s only horror-centric theatre.  He can also be seen onscreen in the award-winning survival thriller Dead Weight and numerous other short films.
